The artist Jessica Rod uses the blank roman numerals in their positions as if on a traditional clock to symbolize things gone and things fading away. The gears represent time moving on, turning endlessly as one gear moves another. A domino effect in which life proceeds one second moving on to another, never to be gotten back. The word "Time" itself has a crimson background bleeding away into purple before blue, the cold indifferent color associated with space and time.
